Volleyball Recap: Chiefland Wins Going Away Against Hawthorne + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Chiefland rose to the challenge on Monday. They put the hurt on the Hawthorne Hornets with a sharp 3-0 win. The Indians not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 9th (when they won 3-0).

Chiefland not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Hawthorne between 14 and 17 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-14, 25-14.

Despite the loss, Hawthorne saw an underclassman step up: freshman Holly Moore had 11 digs and two assists.

The victory got Chiefland back to even at 8-8. As for Hawthorne, they are on a 28-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.

Coming up, Chiefland will face off against Trenton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. Hawthorne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
