Volleyball Recap: Shelland Salac and Brooke Milligan Secure Win for Bear River

Bear River had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Mira Loma on Tuesday. The Bruins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Matadors. The Bruins haven't had any issues with the Matadors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Bear River was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-15, 25-10.

Leading Bear River to victory were Brooke Milligan and Shelland Salac. Milligan had 13 assists and seven aces, while Salac had eight aces. Those seven aces gave Milligan a new career-high.

Bear River's win bumped their record up to 29-6. As for Mira Loma, they are on a 31-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.
