Bloomfield has gone a perfect 8-0 against Avon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Warhawks will take on the Falcons at 6:30 p.m. Avon took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bloomfield, who comes in off a win.

While Bloomfield's win against Rocky Hill wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warhawks narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Terriers 14-12. The Warhawks haven't had any issues with the Terriers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Bloomfield's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Javonni Reynolds led the charge by rushing for 101 yards and one score on only 12 carries. An impressive showing, but Reynolds really ramped things up playing D: he picked up 2.5 sacks and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss). Another player making a difference was Cameron White, who rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bloomfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 270 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bloomfield's defense and their six sacks. Reynolds was especially locked on to Rocky Hill's QB and sacked him 2.5 times.

Meanwhile, Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by South Windsor 42-0.

Bloomfield's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Avon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for Bloomfield against Avon when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warhawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
