Basketball Game Preview: North Putnam Cougars vs. Northside L Lions

North Putnam is headed into the match having just suffered their closest defeat since December 6, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Cascade by a score of 47-44. The Cougars have struggled against the Cadets recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Northside L waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 70-58.

Northside L's win came from a few key players North Putnam will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was ISAAC ADCOCK, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 21 points and five assists. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was CAMERON BRUNK, who went 6 of 12 en route to 17 points and seven assists.

Northside L smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive games.

North Putnam's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Northside L, they now have a winning record of 15-14.
