Purchase Line put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Conemaugh Township Indians as Purchase Line made off with a 17-2 victory. The Red Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.
Kaitlyn Houser and Rylee Mahaffey were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Houser pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Mahaffey struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Houser a new career-low in walks (two). At the plate, Houser scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Mahaffey scored a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Purchase Line got a massive performance out of Bella Cessna, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most hits Cessna has posted since back in April of 2024. Brooklynn Walker was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-5.
Purchase Line kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits every time they've taken the field this season.
