Basketball Game Preview: Greenway Demons vs. Paradise Honors Panthers

Greenway is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Paradise Honors is on a eight-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Greenway Demons will host the Paradise Honors Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, Greenway strolled past Thunderbird with points to spare, taking the game 50-36.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paradise Honors). They took their matchup on Thursday with ease, bagging an 84-21 victory over Goldwater. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Greenway better keep an eye on Morgan Van Dyke. She was instrumental in Paradise Honors' win, going 12 for 21 en route to 28 points in addition to seven assists and seven rebounds. Van Dyke is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Lizzy Guincho, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals.

Paradise Honors smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Greenway has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.8 points. As for Paradise Honors, their win bumped their record up to 20-4.
