Volleyball Recap: Spanish Springs Victorious

It was a proper cat-fight when Spanish Springs took on Douglas on Thursday. The Cougars came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-19, 15-25, 25-10.

Gianna Antle had an outrageously good game as she had 20 digs and four assists. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024.

Spanish Springs' record now sits at 10-2. As for Douglas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Spanish Springs will challenge Hilmar at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Douglas, they will face off against Reed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
