Volleyball Recap: Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the London Pirates by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pirates apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-22, 15-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial will host Canyon Lake at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for London, they will face off against Sinton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
