Baseball Game Preview: Strongsville Mustangs vs. North Royalton Bears

The Strongsville Mustangs will challenge the North Royalton Bears at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Strongsville 3, North Royalton 3.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, Strongsville came up short against Brunswick and fell 9-6.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for North Royalton's offense. They came up short against St. Edward on Tuesday, falling 9-0. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

North Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Strongsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-10-1 record this season.

Strongsville was able to grind out a solid victory over North Royalton in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 5-0. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
