Basketball Recap: Whittier RVT Sets Scoring Season-High Against Ipswich

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Whittier RVT). They took down the Ipswich Tigers 83-64 on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Whittier RVT had a senior duo take command as Jayvian Rosario posted 30 points and Richard Tayag had 25 points. Rosario's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Stephen Artemis, who scored 15 points.

Whittier RVT's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Ipswich, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whittier RVT will venture away from home to take on Northeast Metro RVT at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ipswich, they are taking a road trip to square off against North Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
