Football Recap: Anderson C Comes Up Short

Anderson C had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it seven. They lost 50-24 to the SouthLake Christian Academy Eagles. The game was a close 16-14 at the break, but unfortunately for the Cavaliers it sure didn't stay that way.

As for SouthLake Christian Academy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Malachi Gwyn had a dynamite game, rushing for 229 yards and four scores while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Anderson C has already played their next contest, a 14-12 loss against Towns County on the 3rd. As for SouthLake Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-0 defeat against High Point Christian Academy on the 3rd.
