Volleyball Recap: Wadsworth Starts Season with Win at Home

Wadsworth took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the North Royalton Bears. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 25-14.

Wadsworth was led to victory by Ellie Wolf and Emily Snyder. Wolf had 11 digs and three assists, while Snyder had 12 digs. Those three assists gave Wolf a new career-high.

Wadsworth was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in 12 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, North Royalton still got an impressive performance from Ally Buffa, who had 11 digs and two assists.

North Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Wadsworth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Twinsburg on the 28th. As for North Royalton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Brecksville-Broadview Heights on the 28th.
