Basketball Recap: Greely Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cape Elizabeth last Friday, Greely came back down to earth. The Greely Rangers took a hard 59-45 fall against the Falmouth Navigators on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rangers in their matchups with the Navigators: they've now lost five in a row.

Greely's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Falmouth, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greely has already played their next game (against Schenck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Falmouth will square off against Kennebunk at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Falmouth's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
