Soccer Game Preview: Roanoke Rapids vs. White Oak

The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets will head out to take on the White Oak Vikings at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

White Oak will be up against a hot Roanoke Rapids squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Roanoke Rapids blew past North Johnston 8-1 on Tuesday. With the Yellowjackets ahead 7-1 at the half, the game was all but over already.

They hit North Johnston with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Casey Neal (5), Claire Walker, Avery Qualls, and Sloan Bullock.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White Oak). They never let South Central get on the board and left with a 6-0 win on Tuesday.

Roanoke Rapids' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 23 goals over those three matchups. As for White Oak, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
