Baseball Recap: Canoga Park Hunters vs. Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers
Canoga Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences Vipers.
Alberto Escobedo was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Alexander Romo, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Canoga Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Canoga Park will square off against Faith Baptist at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Jefferson at 4:00 p.m. on March 14th.
