 Loretto won the last time they faced Lewis County, and things went their way  on Monday too. The Loretto Mustangs had just enough and edged the Lewis County Panthers out  4-3. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Loretto.
 Loretto's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Kiersten Randell, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 On Lewis County's side,  Brailey Carroll spent all 12 innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on seven hits.
 Loretto has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record  this season. As for Lewis County, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
 Loretto will head out on the road to  take on  Summertown at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Loretto: 3.2, Summertown: 3.2) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Lewis County, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Culleoka at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
