Basketball Recap: Routt Catholic Takes a Loss

Routt Catholic came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers, falling 59-38. That makes it the first time this season the Rockets have let down their home crowd.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenfield/Northwestern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kayden Roberts, who made all 6 shots he took for 13 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Talon Albrecht, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 17 points and five assists.

Routt Catholic's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 23-3. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Routt Catholic has already played their next contest, a 63-57 defeat against Palmyra on the 8th. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-29 win against Barry Western on the 10th.
