With a playoff win on the line, Gallatin County rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Crab Orchard Trojans 10-0. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by six runs or more this season.

James Wood was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Wood was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Aiden Combs was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Casen Steele, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Gallatin County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Gallatin County's win bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Crab Orchard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
