Softball Recap: Mount Abram Comes Up Short

Mount Abram was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Mt. Blue Cougars, falling 15-0. If the Roadrunners were looking for revenge after losing 15-2 to the Cougars when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mount Abram's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mt. Blue, the win was the fourth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Mount Abram will challenge Old Orchard Beach at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mt. Blue, they will square off against Oxford Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Cougars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
