Football Game Preview: Silverdale Academy Seahawks vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish + How To Watch

After each having a week off, the Silverdale Academy Seahawks and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Silverdale Academy has given up an average of 30.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Silverdale Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Boyd-Buchanan two weeks ago (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Seahawks lost 49-28 to the Buccaneers. The Seahawks haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Connor Jenne, who threw for 299 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt. Silverdale Academy is 2-1 when Jenne posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. The Seahawks' leading receiver Cannon Rogers was Jenne's top target yet again, picking up 142 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Notre Dame had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it four last Friday. They walked away with a 15-7 win over the Chargers.

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed nine in total. All came from Owen Maddox: he went 3-for-3 kicking field goals for nine points.

Notre Dame didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Caleb Green and Dryden Anderson.

Silverdale Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Notre Dame, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Silverdale Academy against Notre Dame when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-14 win. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Fighting Irish's Cooper Campbell, who threw for 172 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards.
