Softball Game Preview: Fairfield Falcons vs. Florin Panthers

The Fairfield Falcons are taking a road trip to face off against the Florin Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Fairfield is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 22 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Johnson on Monday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 8-2. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Fairfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Talia Falekaono, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one double.

Meanwhile, Florin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 25-1 to Armijo.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Florin, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything went Fairfield's way against Florin in their previous meeting back in April, as Fairfield made off with a 25-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
