Basketball Game Preview: Christian Learning Center Mustangs vs. Center Place Golden Eagles

Christian Learning Center and Center Place are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2021, but not for long. The Christian Learning Center Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Center Place Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Christian Learning Center sitting on six straight wins and Center Place on seven.

Last Tuesday, Christian Learning Center didn't have too much trouble with El Dorado Christian as they won 42-28. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked fourth in Kansas, while the Buffalos are ranked 27th in Missouri), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Center Place strolled past Heartland with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 51-37.

Christian Learning Center pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.7 points per game. As for Center Place, their win bumped their record up to 7-1.

Christian Learning Center strolled past Center Place when the teams last played back in November by a score of 48-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christian Learning Center since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
