Basketball Recap: Trinity Comes Up Short

Trinity suffered their closest defeat since October 12, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Byron Nelson Bobcat by a score of 44-41. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Bobcat are ranked 127th).

Trinity has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-15 record this season. As for Byron Nelson, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 18-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Timber Creek the next time they take the court. Byron Nelson will host Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Trinity will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on January 21st.
