Baseball Recap: Mitchell Now 10-3 over Last 13 Games

There's no place like home for Mitchell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Hernando Leopards on Wednesday, sneaking past 4-2. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

MICHAH MARK tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on LOGAN KOSLIN, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Mitchell: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise. KYLE KOSLIN was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Mitchell is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Hernando, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-9.

Mitchell didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 defeat against Seminole on the 4th. As for Hernando, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-1 victory against Springstead on the 4th.
