After seven games on the road, Kingman is heading back home. They will take on the Odyssey Institute Minotaur at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Kingman suffered their biggest loss yet this season last Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Yuma Catholic, falling 65-22. Kingman was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.
Meanwhile, Odyssey Institute suffered a tough 62-38 loss at the hands of Parker on Friday. Odyssey Institute has not had much luck with Parker recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the defeat, Odyssey Institute had strong showings from Shelby Hunt, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and four blocks, and Danica Slack, who scored eight points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hunt has scored all season.
Kingman has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Odyssey Institute, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
