Football Recap: Silver Valley Trojans vs. Temecula Prep Patriots

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Western Christian, Silver Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Temecula Prep Patriots a 22-0 shutout. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Trojans just coasted through the last quarter.

Leading Silver Valley to victory were Javion Taylor and Noah Durrah. Taylor rushed for 78 yards and two scores, while Durrah rushed for 118 yards on only 15 carries. Durrah also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Silver Valley's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Judah Caldwell was the leader with three. Caldwell is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least six every time he's taken the field this season. Taylor got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
