Softball Recap: Maret Comes Up Short

After flying high against Foxcroft last Thursday, Maret came back down to earth. The Frogs lost 15-0 to National Cathedral on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for the Frogs seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Maret saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Trendl, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Maret now has a losing record of 4-5. As for National Cathedral, they pushed their record up to 6-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Maret will head out to take on Potomac School at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last. As for National Cathedral, they will venture away from home to square off against Foxcroft at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
