Basketball Recap: Potts Camp Comes Up Short

Potts Camp was the 67-41 winner over East Union when they last played one another back in January of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Potts Camp Cardinals were dealt an 89-61 loss at the hands of the East Union Urchins on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Urchins are ranked 75th).

Potts Camp's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for East Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Potts Camp didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 84-50 loss against Coffeeville on the 28th. As for East Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-59 defeat against Hamilton on the 28th.
