Recap: Stansbury Stallions vs. Morgan Trojans
This season hasn't been kind to the Stansbury Stallions, who are still winless after their sixth matchup. They were the victim of a tough 44-18 loss at the hands of Morgan on Thursday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stansbury has scored all season.
When it comes to explaining why Stansbury lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kamry Bryant. Despite the final result, she scored three points.
Eva Birkeland was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 17 points. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexis Burt, who scored five points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Stansbury bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 2-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stansbury is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Hillcrest at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Hillcrest comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Morgan, they will head out on the road to face off against American Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
