Volleyball Recap: Cheshire Rams vs. Southington Blue Knights

Cheshire faced Southington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Rams fell just short of the Blue Knights by a score of 3-2. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Knights earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Cheshire took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 19-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Jacob D'Addona paced Cheshire's offense, picking up 15 kills. D'Addona got some help from Bradley Fang and his 37 assists. Finally, Thomas Superchi and Gordon Johns kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked four attacks.

Among those leading the charge was Mark O'Donnell, who had 12 digs and four assists.
