Recap: Sissonville Indians vs. Lewis County Minutemen
The Sissonville Indians lost against the Lewis County Minutemen back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Sissonville fell just short of Lewis County by a score of 51-48.
Sissonville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dylan Casto, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Taylor, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Sissonville's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7. As for Lewis County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Sissonville will head out on the road to challenge Roane County at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Sissonville is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season. As for Lewis County, they will head out on the road to face off against Buckhannon-Upshur at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Buckhannon-Upshur is on a five-game streak of home wins, Lewis County a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
