Baseball Recap: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Tipton-Rosemark Academy won against Millington Central on Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Rebels beat the Trojans by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-4. The win was nothing new for the Rebels as they're now sitting on four straight.

Hunter Harkness made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Harkness was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since April 1st.

In other batting news, Connor Vowell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Trace Scott was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy pushed their record up to 18-12 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Millington Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-23.

Coming up, Tipton-Rosemark Academy will take on St. George's at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Millington Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
