Basketball Recap: South Park Takes a Loss

South Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They fell 39-27 to the Soroco Rams. If the Burros were looking for revenge after losing 48-36 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Soroco got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braxton Zander out in front who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Dudley, who posted 14 points and four steals.

South Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Soroco, they moved to 1-10 with that win, which also ended their 20-game losing streak.

South Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-22 defeat against Lake County on the 20th. As for Soroco, they will square off against Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Soroco is facing Hayden at the right time seeing as Hayden is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
