Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Hills Highlanders vs. Dunbar Wildcats

Eastern Hills hasn't had much luck against Dunbar recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eastern Hills Highlanders will face off against the Dunbar Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Hills is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last ten games.

Eastern Hills is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Carter-Riverside: they outscored them in every quarter. Eastern Hills took down Carter-Riverside 46-30 on Tuesday. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 603rd, while the Eagles are ranked 1500th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Dunbar challenged Western Hills on Tuesday. Dunbar was beaten by Western Hills 43-14. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Hills' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points per game. As for Dunbar, their loss dropped their record down to 4-26.

Everything came up roses for Eastern Hills against Dunbar when the teams last played on January 7th, as the team secured a 62-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eastern Hills since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
