Softball Recap: Cary-Grove Comes Up Short

Cary-Grove lost against Prairie Ridge back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans lost 9-2 to the Wolves.

Cary-Grove saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison DeSomer, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Cary-Grove's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Prairie Ridge, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1-1.

Coming up, Cary-Grove will take on Hampshire at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Prairie Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Dundee-Crown at 4:30 p.m. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
