Softball Recap: Burley Takes a Loss

Burley and Lewiston squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Burley had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bengals by a score of 8-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since April 2, 2024.

Sayge Gerratt made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another player making a difference was Taylin Beck, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Burley and nudges their season record down to 14-11. As for Lewiston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Burley nor Lewiston have any future games scheduled.
