Softball Game Preview: Weiss Wolves vs. Pflugerville Panthers

The Weiss Wolves will head out on the road to face off against the Pflugerville Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Weiss is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Weiss came up short against Georgetown on Monday, falling 13-4.

Weiss saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anabella Gomez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Gomez has posted over her last ten games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Pflugerville's offense. They lost 10-0 to Hendrickson on Monday. The Panthers have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Pflugerville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Weiss, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

Weiss took their win against Pflugerville in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Weiss since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
