A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions face off against the Lockland Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday... Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Miami Valley Christian Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Miami Valley Christian Academy had to suffer through a 76-49 loss at the hands of Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-18.

Meanwhile, Lockland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were dealt a 75-26 defeat at the hands of Seven Hills. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 812th, while the Stingers are ranked 231st).

Miami Valley Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Lockland, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Miami Valley Christian Academy beat Lockland 51-40 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will Miami Valley Christian Academy repeat their success, or does Lockland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
