Volleyball Game Preview: Roaring Fork Rams vs. Meeker Cowboys

The Roaring Fork Rams will venture away from home to challenge the Meeker Cowboys at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roaring Fork was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Cedaredge 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Rams have posted since September 22nd.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (107-104) Roaring Fork actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 24-26, 25-23, 12-25, 18-16.

Meanwhile, Meeker had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 3-0 win.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-21, 25-15.

Meeker's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Roaring Fork, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.

Roaring Fork couldn't quite get it done against Meeker in their previous meeting back in August as they fell 2-0. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
