Seton Catholic Central had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.5 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 74-57 win over the Chenango Valley Warriors. Given the Saints' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Warriors are ranked 342nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Seton Catholic Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brian Dempsey, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 17 points. Dempsey is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Rumpel, who went 8 of 12 en route to 16 points.

Seton Catholic Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Seton Catholic Central's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.0 points per game. As for Chenango Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
