Basketball Game Preview: Union Grove Christian Patriots vs. Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles

The Union Grove Christian Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Woodland Baptist Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Union Grove Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They snuck past New Manna Christian with a 43-38 victory.

Taylor Hanes was a one-woman wrecking crew for Union Grove Christian as she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds gave Hanes a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Long, who posted seven points and ten rebounds.

Meanwhile, Woodland Baptist Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Southview Christian 50-30. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 20 points or more this season.

Woodland Baptist Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Union Grove Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Union Grove Christian strolled past Woodland Baptist Christian in their previous meeting back in February by a score of 52-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union Grove Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
