Football Recap: Wyalusing Valley Takes a Loss

Wyalusing Valley lost against Hughesville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams came up short against the Spartans, falling 28-6. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hughesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Connor Anstadt led the charge by picking up 154 receiving yards and three scores, while also rushing for 39 yards. Anstadt also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making 16 total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Chase Shrawder helped out on the ground, rushing for 81 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Wyalusing Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hughesville, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6.
