Baseball Game Preview: Havelock Rams vs. North Pitt Panthers

The Havelock Rams will challenge the North Pitt Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Havelock will be strutting in after a victory while North Pitt will be coming in after a defeat.

While Rams fans will have to keep waiting for their team to come home, they shouldn't be too worried about the road trip considering the result of Wednesday's season opener. They walked away with a 12-7 win over West Craven on Wednesday. The game was the first time the Rams have beaten the Eagles on their field since March 31, 2023.

The team relied heavily on Brady Munson, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Brayden Leverett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, North Pitt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Ayden - Grifton, falling 15-2.
