Basketball Game Preview: Seagoville Dragons vs. Spruce Timberwolves

Seagoville and Spruce are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Seagoville Dragons will take on the Spruce Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spruce took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Seagoville, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Seagoville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 34-31 win over West Mesquite. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Spruce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 54-41 to Wilson.

Spruce's defeat dropped their record down to 8-18. As for Seagoville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-17 record this season.

Seagoville skirted past Spruce 30-27 when the teams last played on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Seagoville since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
