Recap: Erasmus Hall Dutchmen vs. Curtis Warriors
The Erasmus Hall Dutchmen entered their tilt with the Curtis Warriors with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Erasmus Hall claimed a resounding 40-13 win over Curtis at home. The result was nothing new for Erasmus Hall, who have now won four games by 27 points or more so far this season.
When it comes to explaining why Curtis lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Chauncey Mims. Despite the final result, he rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Mims was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
Erasmus Hall's victory was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Curtis, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Erasmus Hall will face off against Wagner at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Curtis is on the road again on Friday and play against New Dorp at 6:00 p.m. on November 10th.
