Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Sebring

Sebring won the last time they faced Okeechobee, and Molly Jane Zwayer did her part to make sure it happened again. The Sebring Blue Streaks strolled past the Okeechobee Brahmans with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 34-18 thanks in part to Zwayer, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten boards, and 13 blocks. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in blocks.

The win was the third in a row for Sebring, bringing their record for this year to 7-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.0 points per game. As for Okeechobee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Sebring and Okeechobee could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Sebring (ranked 228th) will meet Haines City (ranked 46th) at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, Okeechobee (ranked 471st) will meet Central (ranked 208th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
