Basketball Recap: Maya Angelou Public Charter Takes a Loss

Maya Angelou Public Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the DC International Dragons, falling 54-34. Maya Angelou Public Charter was not able to make up for their loss to DC International from their previous meeting back in February of 2020.

Maya Angelou Public Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for DC International, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Digital Pioneers Academy the next time they take the court. Maya Angelou Public Charter will head out to face Digital Pioneers Academy at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday, while DC International will host them at 7:15 p.m. on January 23rd.
