Basketball Game Preview: Miles Bulldogs vs. Ballinger Bearcats

The Miles Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Ballinger Bearcats at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, the stars were shining brightly for Miles in a 46-30 victory over Bangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Ballinger had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 44-36 win over the Dragons.

Miles is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points per game. As for Ballinger, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4.

Miles came up short against Ballinger when the teams last played back in December of 2020, falling 35-29. Can Miles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
