Volleyball Recap: Mount Si Wildcats vs. Issaquah Eagles

Mount Si and Issaquah squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Mount Si had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Issaquah Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20, 26-28, 25-21.

Taylor Showalter paced Mount Si's offense, picking up 20 kills. Showalter got some help from Carissa Zwiefelhofer and her 33 assists. Zwiefelhofer was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Casey Kot had a dynamite game for Issaquah, getting 30 digs. With that strong performance, Kot is now averaging an impressive 10.2 digs per game.

As for Issaquah, they will head out to take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Issaquah is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road.
