Baseball Recap: La Pryor Comes Up Short

La Pryor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 19-6 to the D'Hanis Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

La Pryor saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Moises Lopez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI. Nathan Martinez was another, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

La Pryor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for D'Hanis, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. La Pryor will take on Charlotte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. La Pryor is facing Charlotte at the right time seeing as Charlotte is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for D'Hanis, they will square off against Three Rivers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Three Rivers will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something D'Hanis surely won't give up without a fight.
